Cut Shipping Costs with Gama’s Aggregated Negotiation Tool

Managing shipping costs can be difficult, especially when dealing with multiple vendors and trying to negotiate the best rates. Gama’s Aggregated Negotiation feature takes the hassle out of this process by allowing all your vendors to compete in real time. Instead of contacting each vendor one by one, you can get them to submit their best offers at the same time, creating a competitive bidding environment. This not only saves you time but also helps you secure the lowest possible shipping rates.

Integrated with Gama’s freight rate management system, which includes freight quoting software and freight billing software, the Aggregated Negotiation tool keeps your logistics operations efficient and cost-effective. It puts you in control by ensuring that you get the best rates while vendors improve their offers, all without the need for endless negotiations. This smart, easy-to-use feature makes managing freight costs simpler and more efficient for businesses of all sizes.

What is Aggregated Negotiation?

Aggregated Negotiation is a smart way to get better shipping rates using freight quoting software. Instead of contacting each shipping vendor individually and negotiating separately, Gama lets you invite all your vendors to compete for your business at the same time.

Here’s the key part: each vendor can see where they rank compared to others, but they don’t know the exact bids of their competitors. This pushes them to keep offering better deals to win your business, which means lower costs for you. Think of it like a friendly competition where everyone is trying to give you the best price!

How Aggregated Negotiation Works

Here’s a simple breakdown of how Gama’s Aggregated Negotiation feature works step by step within the freight software:

1-Vendor Onboarding

This step is about getting all your vendors ready to participate. You can onboard the vendors you usually work with, which means adding them to your approved list in the system. Once onboarded, they will be invited to submit their quotes for future shipments.

2-Freight Quote Request

When you have a shipment coming up, you can create a Freight Quote Request using Gama’s freight quoting software. This request is sent to all your active vendors through email, asking them to submit their shipping rates for the specific job you need. This way, you don’t need to contact each vendor separately—they all get the same request at the same time.

3-Competitive Bidding

Here’s where things get interesting. Once the vendors receive the quote request, they start submitting their bids. They can see how their quote ranks against others but won’t know the exact prices their competitors are offering. This motivates them to improve their bids if they want to rise in the ranking and win your business. You get to see all the offers coming in and can track the progress in real-time.

4-Approval Dashboard

After all the bids are in, Gama gives you an easy-to-use Approval Dashboard. This is where you can compare all the bids, see which one is best for you, and approve it. The dashboard, part of the freight software, makes the selection process simple and quick, allowing you to choose the best rate with just a few clicks.

Why Aggregated Negotiation is Great for Your Business

Now that you know how it works, let’s talk about why Aggregated Negotiation, integrated within freight software, is such a useful tool for companies.

1-Saves You Money:

With multiple vendors competing to offer the best rate, you automatically get better deals on your shipping costs. Competition means lower prices!

2-Streamlines the Process:

Instead of spending hours contacting vendors and comparing quotes manually, Aggregated Negotiation brings all the offers to you in one place. You can compare them easily and make a decision faster.

3-Keeps You in Control:

You get to decide which vendors are invited to bid. This ensures that you’re only working with trusted partners. Plus, because vendors can’t see each other's exact bids, your negotiation strategy remains confidential.

4-Improves Efficiency:

The whole process— from requesting quotes to selecting the best offer— is faster and smoother. This means less time spent on logistics and more time focusing on your core business.

5-Integrated with Freight Billing Software:

Gama’s platform works seamlessly with freight billing software, helping you not only manage rates but also handle invoicing and other financial processes related to your shipments.
